Apple Television? Rumors point to Siri-powered TV from Apple.
Will Apple move into the TV making business? This article from NY Times thinks all the evidence points to one:
"Several people, all speaking on condition of anonymity for obvious reasons, told me that nothing was actively being built, but — and this was a big but — I was told repeatedly that Apple would eventually make a television. “Absolutely, it is a guaranteed product for Apple,” I was told by one individual. “Steve thinks the industry is totally broken.”
Personally I think the TV industry is a bit of a mess too. That's why I haven't purchased a TV or watched any for quite some time. Steve Jobs had been calling the Apple TV a "hobby" for quite some time, and according to his just-released biography he's told Walter Isaacson that he's "finally cracked it", referring to a unique interface for interacting with the TV.
I personally believe that Apple wouldn't be venturing into television sets if they have something truely outstanding, so it this is true I expect the TV as we know it will be obsolete.
