I've got the Old White iMac two years ago and concerning about the internal button battery that might run out of juice. So is there any easy steps to or how to change the failing battery from user end point of view.

According to the Apple

According to the Apple support site, the internal battery isn't user replaceable.

You will have to contact your nearest Apple center to have it changed if it loses its ability to retain charge. Try contact Caesar for advice.

This is the best search result I could come up with, but it's not specific for the iMac: http://www.welovemacs.com/howtochyoclb.html

According my search online, you only need to get the back of the enclosure off, since the battery sits right next to the RAM slots.

However, from my own experience, I haven't yet had any internal battery issues yet for my horribly obsolete G4 Macs , so be rest assured that yours would probably have some years of life ahead of it.

If you do a search at the link here, they do look to be different than the conventional "button" batteries.
