Maxis has just announce the latest pricing for the iPhone 3G and as well as the latest iPhone 3GS. Prices are as below:
Apple iPhone 3G 8GB - RM 1990
Apple iPhone 3GS 16GB - RM 2490
Apple iPhone 3GS 32GB - RM 2990
According to Caesar, you can purchase the phone upright without signing up for a Maxis contract, but you're still required to buy a Maxis Hotlink starter pack:

Above stated price are the retail price for purchasing iPhone upright (without signing up Maxis contract), but however, you are required to buy the Hotlink starter pack for activation.
